The Legends Circuit (TLC) league series will be played on the 1st and 2nd of March 2014; where the top 8 Malaysian teams battle it out for the best possible seed moving towards the playoffs which is from the 8th of March until the 18th of May 2014.
In this article, we will go through three teams namely Kuala Lumpur Hunters, Mirrors and Fluffy Gaming.
KUALA LUMPUR HUNTERS
Top : KLH. 13Ghost
Jungle : KLH. Stray
Mid : KLH. Ozora Veki
Marksman : KLH. JaeYoong
Support : KLH. Qaspiel
The Kuala Lumpur Hunters, one of the only full-fledged professional teams in Malaysia had a major revamp with all of the veterans of the team leaving except for JaeYoong.
With that, JaeYoong is given the task to reform the team with any player of his choice – Thus the arrival of the likes of 13Ghost, Stray, Ozora Veki and Qaspiel.
JaeYoong, one of the longest serving professional marksman in Malaysia is now leading the KLH pack from the bottom lane together with his support - Qaspiel, who was an AD Carry for the disbanded Paradox Gaming.
Coming also from Paradox Gaming is Ozora Veki, one of the most consistent mid laners in Malaysia. He now holds the center of the map for Kuala Lumpur Hunters.
Ozora Veki played Leblanc in 4 games of the TLC Qualifiers, killing everyone on sight. However, we have to see any other champions being played from him although he is known to be good in control/utility champions like Orianna and Gragas.
Arriving from Nothing to Lose, we have Stray who is potentially one of the best junglers in Malaysia.
With an irreplaceable aggressive carry-jungle play style as mentioned by Support of NtL, lanes would be constantly terrorized by his pressure from the jungle with hyper-aggressive jungle champions such as Elise, Vi and Olaf.
Also at the top lane, we have 13Ghost who is known as one of the most consistent players for NtL last season. In KLH, 13Ghost plays tanky champions such as Renekton and Dr. Mundo.
The all new Kuala Lumpur Hunters is seen as a very strong and objective based team.
Despite being commented as being in an easier group compared to group A who have the likes of Mirror, Nothing to Lose and iSg.KTHXBAI, Kuala Lumpur Hunters actually defeated strong teams such as iSg.MY and Team Passby (rumoured with players of the old-KLH) to eventually go through the group stage 5-0.
If there is any chance to prove themselves as one of the best teams in Malaysia,
THIS is the moment for JaeYoong and co.
MIRRORS
Manager : 100percentme
Top : Minky
Jungle : Bishop Donkey
Mid : Exquinox
Marksman : Xeddy
Support : BooBoo
Substitute
Chrome Dokuro
Mirrors took the TLC Qualifiers Group A by storm as they defeated all the teams except iSg.KTHXBAI and ended the run with a score of 4-1.
While they are a newly formed team, most of the players are actually veterans of the competitive scene who came from teams that eventually disbanded after the last season of TLC 2013.
Mirrors is a team led by the mid laner, Exquinox (aka Equinox) who is adept in high-burst assassins such as Riven, Kha’Zix and Leblanc.
The other solo laner, Minky plays tanky top lane champions who would eventually be the main tank line of the team such as Shyvana and Renekton.
Occasionally, he would also move on to play one of his favourite champions, Teemo.
Supporting the solo laners, Bishop Donkey plays an aggressive and roam heavy-style jungler, thus playing champions such as Jarvan IV and Elise.
The duo in the bot lane includes BooBoo and xEddy who rarely dies when he is on form. xEddy went 10-1, 9-1 and 12-0 in the group stage with 3 different champions (Caitlyn, Vayne and Ezreal).
Last but not least, the man behind the scenes, 100percentme, is a manager & coach that constantly kicks his member’s behinds to make sure that they are always at the top of their game.
It is also worth to note that they are the only team who had their own uniform, despite some minor (or big) spelling errors.
Despite being 4-1 in the group, Exquinox mentioned that he considers Mirrors the ‘Dark Horse’ of TLC Series.
Personally, I can rate them as one of the favourites to get out of the Top 4 for TLC League Series.
Only time will tell!
FLUFFY GAMING
Manager : Lii
Top : Swak
Jungle : PingguPanda Butt
Mid : KoalaXy
Marksman : CoolCat
Support : Micro_Z
Fluffy Gaming is team coached by a shout caster by the name of Lii.
Despite being new in the tournament, they are not a team that anyone can simply write off as they actually went 2-3 in Group A – Taking out Nothing to Lose (Last season’s 3rd place team)
The team, led by the captain, Coolcat, alongside his support Micro_Z is perhaps something that viewers should not miss.
This duo bot lane almost NEVER loses out in farm even when they lose the game (against iSg.KTHXBAI and Fever Gaming eSports) with the exception of Mirrors.
Swak, the top laner usually plays split push champions such as Shyvana and Trundle who can constantly pressure their lanes and wreak havoc upon the map, unlike the mid laner, KoalaXy, who plays a whole lot of assassins such as Yasuo and Leblanc.
However, if he is required to play a more farm-heavy mage, he is definitely more willing to revert back to the usual Gragas as his choice.
The lanes are always supported by the jungler, PingguPanda Butt, who plays a very aggressive-roam heavy style of jungle champions such as Jarvan IV and Pantheon.
What could be more aggressive than a semi-global mandrop from Pantheon out of no-where? SPARTA!
Despite being newcomers in TLC, this team is definitely not a team people would want to disregard as they are never the ones to hold back and wait for the late game; but a team that would go all out to secure early kills, turrets, and dragons to snowball a win home!
It's time for the underdogs to shine
